Moathail Place is set in a courtyard in the small conservation village of Muthill, surrounded by natural beauty. The courtyard was known as Polythack square housing the local smithy's workshop where locals, travellers and drovers came to have horses shod and tools made or repaired.

If you want a break from cooking, you don't need to go far, we have two possibilities right on the doorstep.
  • Barley Bree, around the corner from the house. High quality, 4 star restaurant www.barleybree.com
  • Star Coffee, opposite the Post office, also just round the corner. A coffee shop with home baking and gifts.
  • On the road to Crieff, just 2.5 miles away is the Drovers restaurant, within the Crieff Visitors Centre. Good Scottish home fayre at affordable prices. A regular, favoutire place I go to have meals when I stay at Muthill. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Take a look www.crieff.co.uk
